Presidio came tearing into Thursday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.4 points), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 53-40 victory over the Kermit Yellow Jackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 69-46 back in December of 2025.

Despite the defeat, Kermit had strong showings from Ethan Quiroz, who shot 55% from the field on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds, and Keaton Thomas, who posted 16 points and six boards.

Presidio's win bumped their record up to 19-9. As for Kermit, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-9 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Presidio will face off against Tornillo at 8:00 p.m. on the 30th. The Blue Devils will be up against the Coyotes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Kermit, they will challenge Alpine at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
