Grady Skok put up the most strikeouts he's had since April 3rd on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Skok and Chewelah will take on Almira-Coulee-Hartline at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sadly, Skok's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Cougars' ten-game streak of wins at home. With the streak broken, Skok and the Cougars surely have a bit of extra motivation heading into Thursday's match.
