The Generals will head out on the road to square off against the Guardians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Grant's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They breezed past Jefferson to the tune of 34-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Generals' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Ida B. Wells, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past Franklin 44-20 on Friday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.

Ida B. Wells' win came from a few key players Grant will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ivan Kos, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. Colton Foster was another key player, rushing for 90 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Grant's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Ida B. Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Grant might still be hurting after the 44-21 defeat they got from Ida B. Wells in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
