It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Alvord had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 51-14 win over the Hico Tigers. The victory was nothing new for the Bulldogs as they're now sitting on seven straight.

His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 163 rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton George, who threw for 169 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Alvord was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 221 rushing yards in nine consecutive games.
Alvord's record is now 9-2. As for Hico, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5.
