Softball Recap: North Thurston Comes Up Short

After flying high against Capital on Wednesday, North Thurston came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the River Ridge Hawks on Friday, falling 21-2. The Rams have struggled against the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Abigail McBride was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Sara Halterman, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

North Thurston now has a losing record of 8-9. As for River Ridge, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

North Thurston didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-3 loss against Central Kitsap on the 3rd. River Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
