Baseball Game Preview: Pine Crest Panthers vs. Killian Cougars

For the second straight game, Pine Crest will face off against Killian. The Panthers will square off against the Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Pine Crest heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They fell just short of Killian by a score of 8-7.

For Killian's part, the team relied heavily on Jahdon Heron, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The Cougars are 2-1 when Heron posts one or more home runs, but 11-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Acosta, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Killian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Pine Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 15-7-2. As for Killian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-13.
