Soccer Game Preview: Kings Mountain vs. West Lincoln

The Kings Mountain Mountaineers are taking a road trip to take on the West Lincoln Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kings Mountain has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since August 12.

Things were looking good for Kings Mountain after they put the first goal on the board on Wednesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Forestview, falling 5-1. The match was a close 1-0 at the break, but unfortunately for Kings Mountain it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, West Lincoln lost 7-1 to Highland Tech on Wednesday. West Lincoln haven't had much luck with Highland Tech recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

West Lincoln's goal came courtesy of Stiven Sanchez, who's now up to seven this season.

Kings Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for West Lincoln, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.

Kings Mountain took their victory against West Lincoln in their previous matchup back in August of 2018 by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mountaineers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
