Volleyball Recap: Central Noble Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fort Wayne Snider, Central Noble was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Wawasee Warriors 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since August 31, 2024.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Central Noble got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-21, 23-25, 15-5.

Grace Swank paced Central Noble's offense, picking up eight kills. Swank got some help from Jalayna Winebrenner and her 15 assists. Winebrenner was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Central Noble's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Wawasee, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Central Noble and Wawasee will both be playing Eastside the next time they take the court. The Cougars will head out to face the Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
