Football Recap: Winnebago Indians vs. Dixon Dukes & Duchesses
After flying high against Rock Falls last Friday, Winnebago came back down to earth. The Indians had to suffer through a 50-15 loss at the hands of the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-8.

Winnebago lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaeden Langholf, who threw for 125 yards and a pair of TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (84 yards to be exact) went to Bryant Beck, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Landon Knigge continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Dixon, rushing for 250 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Knigge's longest rush was for an incredible 91 yards.
Winnebago's record now sits at 2-5. As for Dixon, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Winnebago will square off against Oregon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dixon, they will take on Streator at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dukes & Duchesses are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
