Central beats Southeast Whitfield County for their eighth straight win

The Central Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They claimed a resounding 61-0 win over Southeast Whitfield County at home. The result was nothing new for Central, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cameron Bolton, who rushed for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Zaylend Person, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries.

Central's win was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.9 points per game. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Central will head out on the road to face off against Northwest Whitfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast Whitfield County, they will be playing at home against Cedartown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedartown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Southeast Whitfield County in Georgia (Cedartown is ranked 97th, while Southeast Whitfield County is ranked 425th).
