Basketball Game Preview: Eastmark Firebirds vs. Westview Knights

The Eastmark Firebirds will venture away from home to face off against the Westview Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Eastmark's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Last Saturday, Eastmark earned a 57-50 win over Maricopa.

Kolby Hoyer and Rhys Walcott were among the main playmakers for Eastmark as the former posted 13 points along with six boards and four steals and the latter put up 15 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayson Paulo, who posted nine points and six rebounds.

Eastmark smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Westview was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 56-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mesquite.

Eastmark is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Westview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
