Football Game Preview: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Shadow Ridge Mustangs

Silverado is 0-5 against Shadow Ridge since January of 2022 but things could change on Monday. The Silverado Skyhawks will head out on the road to take on the Shadow Ridge Mustangs at 4:30 p.m.

Silverado is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They lost 32-7 to Green Valley. The Skyhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-0.

Meanwhile, Shadow Ridge faced Bishop Gorman in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Shadow Ridge strolled past Bishop Gorman with points to spare, taking the game 40-21. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Shadow Ridge has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.7 points per game. As for Silverado, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Silverado was dealt a bruising 38-0 loss at the hands of Shadow Ridge when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Silverado, Kyla Moore (who rushed for 193 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
