Softball Recap: Plymouth Comes Up Short

Plymouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 17-1 to the Mapleton Mounties. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mounties this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-6 on Wednesday.

Plymouth saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cailynn Bailey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Plymouth's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Mapleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Plymouth will be playing at home against St. Paul at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mapleton, they will square off against Olmsted Falls at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
