Football Recap: Elgin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Elgin lost against Dufur back in November of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Huskies took a 34-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rangers. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dufur to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Anderson, who picked up 95 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 56 yards and one TD. Chase Peterson was another key player, picking up 87 receiving yards and three scores.

Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Dufur, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Elgin will challenge Cove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Huskies will be up against the Leopards' rather soft defense (which has allowed 46 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Dufur, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat/Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dufur will need to watch out since Lyle/Wishram/Klickitat/Glenwood has now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
