Basketball Recap: Northview Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kayden Samelson and Caleb Levins

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the W.S. Neal Eagles, falling 67-47. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-39 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Northview had strong showings from Caleb Levins, who posted 14 points, and Kayden Samelson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was EastEn Odom, who had five points.

Northview's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for W.S. Neal, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-7.

Northview and L.E.A.D. Academy will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. Northview is facing L.E.A.D. Academy at the right time seeing as L.E.A.D. Academy is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for W.S. Neal, they and Escambia County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
