Soccer Recap: Cypress Finishes Even with Sonora

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Cypress was forced to settle for a draw on Wednesday. Neither they nor the Sonora Raiders could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Gio Loza hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Jared Estrada and Raul Mora scored both of Cypress' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

With that draw, Cypress' record moves to 3-7-2. Meanwhile, Sonora's record is now 9-3-4.

Cypress will host La Habra at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. La Habra's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
