They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 42-39 win over the Lee Generals on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted against the Generals since October 12, 2018.

Lee's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brynnen Pendergraft, who threw for 456 yards and six touchdowns, and Karder Pendergraft, who picked up 190 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Karder was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 56 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (143 yards to be exact) also went to Konner Early, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
