Basketball Recap: Daivon Glover Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Thomas Heyward Academy

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Patrick Henry Academy and Thomas Heyward Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Patriots managed a 55-50 victory over the Rebels on Monday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Patrick Henry Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daivon Glover led the charge by putting up 16 points and three steals. Glover's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Woods, who went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Patrick Henry Academy's record now sits at 4-2. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Patrick Henry Academy will host Calhoun Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas Heyward Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against John Paul II at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
