Baseball Game Preview: Gunter Tigers vs. Winnsboro Raiders

The Gunter Tigers will take on the Winnsboro Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Gunter sitting on 25 straight victories and Winnsboro on three.

Gunter barely beat John Paul II the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cardinals a 16-0 shutout on Tuesday. Rains typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Winnsboro proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Raiders have posted since March 11th.
