If Canyon View was riding high fresh off their 49-20 takedown of Buckeye last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Canyon View Jaguars took a 30-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cactus Cobras on Friday. The Jaguars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cobras apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.
Although Canyon View took the loss, they still got scores from Parker Brooks, Daniel Jaramillo, and Keegan McCarthy.

Leading Cactus to victory were Robert Bell Jr and Julian (Juju) Stubblefield. Bell Jr gained 130 total yards and a touchdown, while (Juju) Stubblefield picked up 114 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Bell Jr showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 62 yards.
Canyon View's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Cactus, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.
