Basketball Game Preview: Ursuline Academy Raiders vs. McDonogh Eagles

The Ursuline Academy Raiders will be taking part in a tournament against the McDonogh Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday. Ursuline Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully McDonogh likes a good challenge.

Ursuline Academy is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Cathedral just ended the team's seven-game winning streak dating back to last season last Sunday. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Raiders have suffered since December 9, 2023.

Meanwhile, McDonogh didn't have too much breathing room in their game against North Point on Saturday, but they still walked away with a 45-40 victory.

McDonogh's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Ursuline Academy, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-1.
