Softball Recap: King's Fork Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

King's Fork proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 14) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Phoebus Phantoms 10-9. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

King's Fork's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Phoebus, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King's Fork will take on Western Branch at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Phoebus, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethel at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th.
