Basketball Recap: Celebration Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Celebration can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Davenport Broncos and fell 71-41. The Storm were not able to make up for their loss to the Broncos from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Several Storm players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Michael Motta, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave Motta a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Edson Oliveira Da Silva, who put up six points.

Celebration has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-16 record this season. As for Davenport, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

Celebration does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Davenport has also already played their next match, a 57-46 defeat against Poinciana on the 4th.
