Basketball Recap: St. James Takes a Loss

St. James was the 61-60 winner over Donaldsonville when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The St. James Wildcats lost 70-50 to the Donaldsonville Tigers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 263rd, while the Tigers are ranked 62nd).

St. James has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Donaldsonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

St. James will challenge West St. John at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. James is facing West St. John at the right time seeing as West St. John is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Donaldsonville, they will head out to challenge Dunham at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
