Basketball Recap: Harman Takes a Loss

Harman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. The match between the Harman Panthers and the Tygarts Valley Bulldogs didn't end well, with the Harman Panthers falling 40-22. The Panthers lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in December of 2019, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-18 score last time.

Tygarts Valley found their leader in sophomore Addie Riddle, who en route to 14 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Those 14 points gave Riddle a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Cooper, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Harman's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Tygarts Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Tygarts Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-53 defeat against Pendleton County on the 25th.
