Volleyball Recap: Rocori Takes a Loss

Rocori lost against Monticello back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Spartans took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Magic. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

When it comes to explaining why Rocori lost, don't look at Mylie Hesse. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs and one assist. Hesse has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last ten times she's played.

Rocori's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Monticello, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Rocori has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Canby on the 10th. As for Monticello, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Princeton on the 10th.
