Softball Recap: Frederick Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Frederick's offense. They came up short against the Francis Scott Key Eagles on Thursday, falling 16-0. The Cadets haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Frederick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Francis Scott Key, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Looking ahead, Frederick will host Linganore at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Francis Scott Key, they will head out to face off against Hedgesville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Francis Scott Key's pitchers better be ready for this one: Hedgesville has averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season.
