Volleyball Recap: Fremont Comes Up Short

Fremont lost against Gunn back in October of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Firebirds came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Fremont was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.

When it comes to explaining why Fremont lost, don't look at Zoe Shie. Despite the final result, she had 20 digs. Shie is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Fremont's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Gunn, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-5.

Fremont has already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Notre Dame on the 13th. As for Gunn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against The Nueva School on the 13th.
