Baseball Recap: Manchester Regional Takes a Loss

If Manchester Regional was feeling good fresh off their 27-0 takedown of Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 12-9 to the Hawthorne Bears on Thursday. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Luis Feliz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Bryan Almodovar, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Manchester Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hawthorne, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

While Manchester Regional had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
