Volleyball Recap: Lafayette Takes a Loss

Lafayette extended their losing streak to four on Monday, dropping them down to 6-8. They lost 3-0 to the Maryville Spoofhounds. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spoofhounds this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

As for Maryville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-6. They not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 25th (when they won 3-0).

Evelyn Branner was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs and two aces.

Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against East Buchanan on the 4th. As for Maryville, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Savannah on the 2nd.
