Basketball Recap: Napaaqtugmiut Comes Up Short

After a string of four wins, Napaaqtugmiut's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 45-44 to the Davis-Romoth Wolves. The Lynx were up 42-28 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

When it comes to explaining why Napaaqtugmiut lost, don't look at Ivan Jones. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Jones' morning made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Caleb Sage was another key player, putting up nine points.

Napaaqtugmiut's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2. As for Davis-Romoth, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-2.

As of now, neither Napaaqtugmiut nor Davis-Romoth have any future games scheduled.
