Soccer Game Preview: Stillman Valley vs. Galena

The Stillman Valley Cardinals will challenge the Galena Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

While Stillman Valley's victory against Winnebago wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Indians on Friday. Stillman Valley haven't had any issues with Winnebago recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Galena can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They and Pecatonica finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result was nothing new for Galena as the team haven't won a game since April 26th.

Galena's draw makes their record 3-12-1 this season. As for Stillman Valley, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
