Softball Game Preview: Singer Hornets vs. Westlake Rams

The Singer Hornets will head out on the road to square off against the Westlake Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Singer has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 11th.

Singer lost 13-6 to Lacassine on Tuesday.

Landri Sandifer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Breeanna Mitchell also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Westlake fell victim to St. Louis Catholic and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Saints, falling 11-0. The Rams have struggled against the Saints recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Singer, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Singer took their victory against Westlake in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 15-8. The rematch might be a little tougher for Singer since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
