Volleyball Recap: Doherty Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Doherty lost against Pueblo West back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans came up short against the Cyclones, falling 3-0.

Brenna Moerman paced Doherty's offense, picking up ten kills. Moerman got some help from Makari Cooper and her ten assists.

Bricelyn Baudino was the offensive standout of the contest as she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted since back in September.

Doherty has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for Pueblo West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Doherty is set to square off against their familiar foe Fountain-Fort Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Pueblo West will take on rival Pine Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
