Basketball Recap: Santa Fe's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Santa Fe's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 43-38 W over the Union County Fightin' Tigers. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Union County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aundria Phipps, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 10 points. Heaven Scott was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Santa Fe's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Union County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.

Santa Fe will be playing in front of their home fans against Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Union County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-45 win against Branford on the 11th.
