Basketball Recap: Calhoun Beats Highland Home for Their Fourth Straight Win

Calhoun hadn't done well against Highland Home recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Calhoun Tigers walked away with a 62-54 victory over the Highland Home Flying Squadron. The win was nothing new for the Tigers as they're now sitting on four straight.

Calhoun got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tyler Robertson out in front who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Robertson has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last four times he's played. Ladarrius Thigpen was another key player, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Robertson wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Calhoun was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The win got Calhoun back to even at 7-7. As for Highland Home, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Calhoun has already played their next contest, a 91-74 victory against Central on the 18th. As for Highland Home, they will welcome Blacksher at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Highland Home is facing Blacksher at the right time seeing as Blacksher is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
