Basketball Game Preview: Providence Hall Patriots vs. Ben Lomond Scots

The Providence Hall Patriots will venture away from home to square off against the Ben Lomond Scots at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

On Thursday, Providence Hall ended up a good deal behind Cedar and lost 69-50.

Dallas Loutensock put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Jones, who had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Ben Lomond was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by Juan Diego Catholic 69-41. The Scots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-18.

Providence Hall will have to contain Cole Parkinson as he made an impact in Ben Lomond's last game. He earned 21 points. Parkinson's big performance that afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Taggart Bush was another key player, putting up seven points.

Providence Hall's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ben Lomond, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Providence Hall took a serious blow against Ben Lomond in their previous matchup back in February, falling 64-34. Thankfully for the Patriots, Jaerdan Vanbeekum (who shot 57% from the field en route to 23 points and six rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
