Softball Recap: South Mecklenburg Comes Up Short

If South Mecklenburg was feeling good fresh off their 12-5 takedown of Ballantyne Ridge on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Sabres lost 13-3 to the Myers Park Mustangs on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 back in March.

Josie Goodchild was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.

South Mecklenburg's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Myers Park, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9.

As of now, neither South Mecklenburg nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
