Recap: Memorial Red Devils vs. Poland Seminary Bulldogs
The Memorial Red Devils lost against the Poland Seminary Bulldogs back in January of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Memorial took a 60-45 bruising from Poland Seminary. Memorial has struggled against Poland Seminary recently, as their match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Memorial's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Moore, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 blocks. The contest was Moore's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aziyah Flores, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Memorial now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Poland Seminary, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Memorial will take on Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Poland Seminary, they will play host again and welcome Boardman, where tip off is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
