Fairmont won the last time they faced Blue Earth and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Fairmont Cardinals' way against the Blue Earth Buccaneers as the Fairmont Cardinals made off with a 71-50 victory. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Fairmont's win bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Blue Earth, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Fairmont wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 85-70 defeat against St. Peter on the 4th. As for Blue Earth, they will head out on the road to face off against Martin County West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Martin County West knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Blue Earth likes a good challenge.
