Daniel had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 43-0 win over the Chapman Panthers. The Lions have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Daniel found their leader in sophomore Jace Grass, who threw for 285 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Another player making a difference was Kingsten Bibb, who gained 125 total yards and a touchdown.
