Soccer Game Preview: Patrick County vs. Floyd County

The Patrick County Cougars will challenge the Floyd County Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Patrick County came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Carroll County. The loss continues a trend for Patrick County in their meetings with Carroll County: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Floyd County's offense. They came up short against Radford last Monday, falling 7-0.

Patrick County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for Floyd County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Patrick County's way against Floyd County in their previous matchup back in March, as Patrick County made off with a 5-1 victory. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
