Basketball Recap: Lone Peak Comes Up Short

Lone Peak has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jefferson Panthers on Thursday. The Big Horns were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Panthers earlier this season, when they won 63-58.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Frydenlund, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Frydenlund has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Stevens, who went 6 for 13 on his way to 14 points and eight boards.

Lone Peak's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Jefferson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lone Peak has already played their next contest (against Whitehall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jefferson has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against East Helena.
