Basketball Recap: Traverse City Central Takes a Loss

If Traverse City Central was riding high fresh off their 78-50 takedown of Alpena last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Traverse City Central Trojans were dealt a 68-36 loss at the hands of the Traverse City West Titans on Wednesday. The Trojans have struggled against the Titans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Traverse City Central's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Traverse City West, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-4.

Traverse City Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Traverse City West, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marquette at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Marquette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Traverse City West likes a good challenge.
