Recap: Harrison Raiders vs. Plainfield Quakers
The Harrison Raiders had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.3 points), and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 39-13 margin over Plainfield. The result was nothing new for Harrison, who have now won seven games by 26 points or more so far this season.
Harrison's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cailix Dillon, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 164 yards and two touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. Carter Knoy was another key contributor, picking up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Although Plainfield took the loss, they still got scores from Isaiah Miller and Caden Vanderbush.
Harrison's win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.2 points per game. As for Plainfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.
Harrison will head out on the road to face off against Decatur Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Decatur Central is ranked 27th, while Harrison is ranked 42nd). Plainfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
