Basketball Recap: Kalkaska Comes Up Short

After flying high against Sault Area last Monday, Kalkaska came back down to earth. The Kalkaska Blazers fell 60-48 to the Cheboygan Chiefs on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Blazers in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now lost three in a row.

Kalkaska's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Cheboygan, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.

Kalkaska does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cheboygan, they will be taking part in a tournament against Boyne City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
