Digital Pioneers Academy faced KIPP College Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Pythons blew past the Panthers, posting a 36-0 victory. The Pythons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Digital Pioneers Academy found their leader in freshman Laroy Williams, who rushed for 153 yards and a pair of scores on only 11 carries. Steven Lane made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Digital Pioneers Academy's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Khamel Williams and Samari Michals, who racked up four sacks between them. Lane got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win (which was Digital Pioneers Academy's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 1.2 points on average over those games. As for KIPP College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
