Baseball Recap: Bonney Lake Comes Up Short

Bonney Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 12-5 to the Curtis Vikings.

Karsten Ingersoll made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hellner, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Bonney Lake's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Curtis, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bonney Lake will host Spanaway Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Sentinels at the right time seeing as the Sentinels are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Curtis, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Bethel at 4:00 p.m. The Bison have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.78 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of.
