Basketball Recap: Wausa's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Wausa put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 70-62 victory over the Wynot Blue Devils. This was payback for the Vikings, who suffered a 76-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Wausa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mac Carlson out in front who posted 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Baue, who put up 16 points.

Wausa's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Wynot, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wausa will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Niobrara/Verdigre on January 6, 2025. As for Wynot, they will take on West Point-Beemer in a tournament on December 28th. One thing working in West Point-Beemer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
