The Latin Romans will head out on the road to face off against the Westminster Christian Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Latin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.8 runs per game this season.
Latin lost a heartbreaker the last time they played St. Patrick, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Romans put the hurt on the Shamrocks with a sharp 8-1 win on Monday. The Romans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matchups by seven runs or more this season.

Noah Katz and Drew Lufrano were major factors no matter where they played. Throwing, Katz struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Lufrano didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in May of 2024. At the plate, Katz went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Lufrano got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jackson Darke was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Theo Davenport was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
Meanwhile, Westminster Christian came tearing into Wednesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Chargers.
Elijah Geu spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Westminster Christian is 7-3 when he allows at most one walk, but 8-9-1 otherwise.
At the plate, Westminster Christian secured the victory behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Brian Powers, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. The Warriors are undefeated when Powers posts two or more stolen bases, but 11-12-1 otherwise.
Westminster Christian pushed their record up to 15-12-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Latin, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Westminster Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Latin hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326.
